The Keret House, Warsaw, Poland

Known as the world's slimmest house, the Keret House is squeezed in between two buildings in the center of Warsaw, Poland. Jakub Szczesny is the only resident and also the designer of this ultra-slim house. 

The idea behind designing this house was that he wanted to make sure that no urban space is left unused, so it is squeezed between two houses. The house is only 152 centimeters wide at its widest point, and at the narrowest point, it was just 72 cm wide.

Jakub first presented the idea at the WolaArt Festival in 2009. Three years later, the idea was materialized and today the house serves as temporary homes for traveling writers. The house is already an icon in the city if Warsaw and is also placed on the tourist map. 

The Skateboard House, Malibu, California

Well, if you are a skateboard fan, you might like the skateboard house in Malibu, California. Designed by former pro-skating world champion Pierre Andre Senizergues, the entire house is designed like on big skateboarding rink. 

The whole structure is built in such a way that it can be used for both living and skateboarding. The Skateboard House, a.k.a the P.S.A House, allows you to skate on all the surfaces both indoors and outdoors.

The interior of the house is organized into three main areas, one of them being a skateboarding practice zone. Nothing is off-limits in here; you can almost skateboard on everything, including the walls, ceilings, and even on the furniture.

Upside Down House, Trassenheide, Germany

The Upside Down House in the seaside resort of Trassenheide on the Pomeranian Island of Usedom is the first-ever upside-down house built in Germany. This strange and incredible house was built only for visitor and it allowed them to look at the world from a completely different perspective.

Everything in this house is flipped, from the structure to the whole inside furniture. The only thing that is not flipped is the exterior stairs that lead to the attic, which realistically speaking is the ground floor.

House NA, Tokyo, Japan

House NA is located in a quiet neighborhood in Tokyo, Japan. The house was designed for a young couple by Sou Fujimoto Architects who were very much inspired by the idea of living on a tree. The whole house is one single giant room that is divided into several smaller rooms.

The interior of the house is quite spacious and comprises of 21 individual floor plates situated at different heights. But, the house comes with one slight disadvantage – it offers no privacy, except for the bathrooms.

The Toilet House, Suwon, South Korea

The Toilet House in Suwon, South Korea was built by a former mayor of the city, and the founder of the World Toilet Association, to commemorate the founding of the organization. The house contains three toilets inside and is the only toilet-themed house in the world

It also features a beautiful rooftop balcony with flags of several countries hoisted up there. Built at a cost of $1.1 million, this house a currently under government's possession and is used as a museum.
