They had a secret wedding ceremony in 2016, which was only confirmed by Adele publicly for the first time during her acceptance speech at the 2017 Grammy Awards, thanking her husband. She won album of the year at the event.

The couple released a statement that they were "committed to raising their son together lovingly". In the statement, they also asked for privacy and said they will make no further comment.

The London-born singer is known for her chart-topping albums 19, 21 and 25. Her debut album was released in 2008 and included hit songs like Chasing Pavements and Hometown Glory, which reached number one in the UK.

The second album won her several awards and her songs reached the top of charts in 30 different countries, including the US and the UK. Meanwhile, her third album became the best-selling album of 2015, selling a record of 800,000 copies in its first week.

Currently, there are reports that Adele is recording new music. The singer was spotted entering a recording studio in New York back in March.

Konecki formerly worked as an investment banker at Lehman Brothers. He left his job there in 2005 to found the ethical water company Life Water, which together with its charity partner Drop 4 Drop, funds clear water projects globally. Speaking to Management Today in 2012, Konecki claimed "I was originally an investment banker at Lehman Brothers and I was doing well and earning a lot of money, but I got sick of that greedy and corrupted world."
