HBO free streaming: The series, movies viewers can watch

HBO is offering free streaming to the public to encourage everyone to stay at home as the number of coronavirus cases continues to rise.

HBO will allow non-subscribers to enjoy free streaming of nearly 500 hours of movies and TV shows available until the end of April under the promotion #StayHomeBoxOffice.

The promotion will make series available to everyone, such as "The Sopranos," "The Wire" and "Veep," as well as HBO documentaries and an assortment of Warner Bros. movies.

Other movies are family-friendly, like "Pokemon Detective Pikachu," "Happy Feet 2," "Smallfoot" and "The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part."

Even without a subscription, HBO viewers can enjoy HBO Now and HBO Go. Other series self-isolators can expect are "Succession," "Barry," "Silcon Valley" and "Ballers," as well as the older titles "True Blood" and "Six Feet Under."

However, "Game of Thrones" remains available to HBO subscribers.

While the television industry experienced a 20 percent decline last week compared to the month prior, HBO Now recorded the highest usage on its platform since summer.

Moreover, there has been a 65 percent increase in the percentage of people binge-viewing series. Meanwhile, movie watching has increased by 70 percent on HBO Now. People are also interested in old shows, new shows, documentary films, and movies.

HBO Max, the company's streaming venture, will be launch in May. HBO, Warner Bros. and CNN are all under WarnerMedia.

Moreover, several entertainment firms have announced several release dates to provide the vast audience looking for something to dive in while observing shelter-at-home or lockdown orders due to coronavirus.

Meanwhile, TNT, a part of the WarnerMedia network, said that it would move up by two weeks, to May 17, the premiere of "Snowpiercer," the dystopian sci-fi series inspired by the movie by "Parasite."

Twitch, a streaming platform of Amazon, recorded a 31 percent growth in viewership. YouTube Gaming gained a 15 percent growth in viewership during a time when everyone does not go outside.
