It’s the most golden time of the year for Hollywood stars and their fans. Golden Globes 2020 is a celebration of the top films in the previous year, but it is also shrouded with the entertaining, shocking, controversial, awkward, funny, and incredible moments that shake up the Internet.
Here are the top moments at the 77th annual Golden Globe Awards:
During the red-carpet interview of Sharon Osborne with Scarlet Johansson, The Talk host could not keep the conversation going. Her compliments for The Avengers star were punctuated with pauses. Osborne even asked Johansson what she was wearing three hours before the show and the things inside the actress’ handbag. Their conversation was interrupted by Nicole Kidman, who was also in a stunning red gown and walking next to her husband Keith Urban.
The camera could not help panning to Jennifer Aniston while her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, was delivering his speech for winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture. Aniston was seen laughing at Pitt’s jokes.
Golden Globes 2020 is an event to remember for Taylor Swift as this is the first time she and her long-time boyfriend Joe Alwyn were seen at the same table in an award show together. The couple is known for being private though Swift has written songs about him extensively in her album “Lover.”
Joaquin Phoenix won the award Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama, but it was his heavily-bleeped speech that startled the audience. He addressed the fires in Australia and the ongoing the climate crisis and thanked his "Joker" director Todd Phillips and her fiancée actress Mara Rooney.
Tom Hanks was honored with the 77th Cecil B. deMille Award for his contributions to the entertainment industry. He was in tears as he delivered his speech and thanking his wife and family and the directors he worked with.
