NBA Superstar Kobe Bryant lauds Taylor Swift for consistently putting out number one albums and describes this kind of success as "frightening" and "unbelievable."

"It's a lot of pressure for her to follow up a number one album with a better [one] but I don't care if you like her music or if you don't like her music," says Bryant about Swift's success in an interview with Jordan Harbinger of the podcast The Jordan Harbinger Show.

Harbinger asked Bryant if the basketball legend has Swift's music in his car. Bryant nodded his head and said: "I do. I think it's important to listen to people who do great things. It's not just genre specific."

Bryant praises Swift, who just released another critically acclaimed album called Lover, for constantly topping the charts and beating her own previous accomplishments. "Taylor's been at the top of the game for a very, very long time. How and why? How does she write, how does she get into that mental space to be able to create things over and over and over," says Bryant.

The former L.A. Lakers champion adds that he tries to learn from successful people like Swift. "Look at what she's doing. It's frightening and unbelievable to be able to pull that off over and over and over. So I look at things like that and try to learn from it as much as I can," says Bryant.

Swift's banner at the Staples Center

In 2015, Bryant surprised Swift with a banner to recognize her record-setting 16 sold-out shows at the Staples Center. During her concert, Bryant showed her the banner that reads: "Taylor Swift, Most Sold Out Performances."

"She was a sweetheart to my girls before she even blew up and became Taylor Swift," says Bryant at the Harbinger show, "so if she needs anything...that’s why I’m always there. You can’t have that level of consistent success and not be a killer. It's impossible."
